GrowFood Carolina, a non-profit local food hub in Downtown Charleston, is seeking a
hardworking and detail-oriented warehouse intern. Do you want to understand supply chain
through the lens of a mission driven organization? This internship is for you!
Description: This 12-week internship is approximately 15 hours per week supporting the
warehouse team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: inventory management,
quality control, loading and unloading trucks, assembling customer orders, and keeping the
warehouse clean. The environment is fast-paced, demands quick thinking, steady execution,
and above all, exceptional customer service while interacting with farmers, buyers, and the
team. This position includes a small stipend.
Requirements include: Great attention to detail, effective verbal and written communication
skills, a good head for numbers, the ability to lift 60 pounds and be on your feet for long
periods of time. Individuals should be self-motivated and work effectively without supervision.
Preference given to individuals who have a passion and curiosity for food and farming.
Schedule: 15 hours/week for 12 weeks. The day to day schedule will be mutually agreed upon
based on scheduling needs of the team and the intern. All hours will be during warehouse
hours: Monday-Friday 6:30am-4pm.
