Senior Development Officer
Catherine first joined the CCL staff in 1995 as Director of the Beaufort Office. She returns to the League in 2011 to serve as Senior Development Officer. Born in New Haven, CT and raised in Washington, DC, she attended Middlebury College graduating with a BA in Political Science. After college, Catherine returned to DC to work for the US Congress reporting on energy and environmental legislation for the Environmental and Energy Study Conference, a legislative service organization. Having grown up visiting her extended family in South Carolina, Catherine knew she wanted to make the coast her home and got the opportunity with CCL in Beaufort in 1995. In 1998, Catherine returned to school to earn an MA in English Literature from the University of South Carolina. Since then she has worked extensively in fundraising and non-profit leadership serving as Director of Development for the USC Press, Executive Director of the South Carolina Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and Director of Development for the College of Health Professions at the Medical University of SC. Catherine lives in Mt Pleasant with her husband and two children.
