Director of Air, Water, and Public Health Programs
Nancy has been the Water Quality Program Director at the League since 1994. Her work has focused on protecting clean water and wildlife habitat of the lowcountry’s tidal creeks, salt marshes, and beaches. She has been involved with the creation and passage of state legislation and regulations, the enforcement of those laws through the permit appeals process, and the education of policy makers and the public. Before joining the staff at CCL, she was Director of the SC chapter of the Sierra Club and prior to that a Research Specialist with USC School of Medicine. She graduated with honors from theUniversity of South Carolina with a degree in Marine Science and recently received the Women in Conservation award from the President of the National Audubon Society.
