On February 23rd the musical experience of local treasure, Awendaw Green, is being transported to the downtown hub of the city. In true Charleston fashion, the rustic and contemporary worlds will combine for a night of singer/songwriter jam sessions in collaboration with the organic food initiative. The brilliant Danielle Howle, Bret Mosley, Carey Murdoc, and Caroline Pond will sing to an amphitheater audience, directly followed by an energetic set from The V-Tones. Local organizations are aligning to support a truly organic collaboration of artists. Audiences will part with a comfort of both the body and soul on this night of food and music featuring all things grass roots and homegrown.
This event is presented by Awendaw Green, The Hippodrome, and 105.5 The Bridge; and is supported by GrowFood Carolina, The Sustainability Institute, Coastal Conservation League, and Palmetto Distribution. Tickets are $10, and may be purchased in advance by clicking here, as well as at the event. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and the singers in the round will take stage at 7:30 p.m. followed by a 15-minute intermission and The V-Tones’ set at 9:00 p.m. Food provided by HomeTeam BBQ, as well as beer and wine available for purchase.
