In the face of complex energy challenges and a global shift from fossil fuel based power production, South Carolina is uniquely positioned to take advantage of clean energy alternatives. But changing our state’s energy policy is a must if we are to reap the benefits of our energy efficiency and renewable energy opportunities and avoid the destructive consequences of our over reliance on fossil fuels.
