Save Sandy Island in Georgetown County in 1996..

A LASTING LEGACY…

As we enter our third decade as an organization we are still committed to protecting the natural resources and quality of life in South Carolina. As former League staffer Jane Lareau often says, “We can save it time after time, but you only lose it once. And once it’s gone, you cannot get it back.”

We hope you will make the commitment to continue your role in the protection of our beautiful coast and to invest in the future by remembering the Coastal Conservation League in your wills and estate plans.  It is an opportunity to leave a legacy for many generations to come.

Please take a moment to think about the past. Without the League, Sandy Island would be a 9,500 unit golf resort. I-73 would have destroyed the Francis Marion Forest. Massive unhealthy hog farms would be polluting our rivers. Now take a moment to think about the future; clean water, clean air, an energy-efficient South Carolina won’t happen without you and CCL working together. Your decision today will make a difference for the future.

Please join these extraordinary League members in their commitment to protect the Lowcountry for generations.

  • "I believe in the necessity of the work that the Coastal Conservation League is doing," says George Williams, "and the group's success is quite remarkable. Dana Beach has a national reputation for getting things done."
