SC Utilities Defend Solar Practices


South Carolina currently generates less than 1% of its electricity from solar energy. In contrast, North Carolina has a state law requiring its utilities to generate 12.5% of the state’s electricity from solar and other renewables by 2021, but SC power companies say we are moving in the right direction. This article examines the state of solar in SC, and the ways in which our utilities promote renewable technologies.
