Come join the North Coast Office and our partners at Winyah Rivers Alliance to paddle a stretch of the Little Pee Dee River that will be directly impacted by the proposed I-73.
On this paddle, we will enjoy the natural sights and sounds this amazing river has to offer including the Little Pee Dee Heritage Preserve. We will discuss how natural wetlands protect us, provide habitat for our native wildlife, and talk viable alternatives to the boondoggle I-73 road project!
We will end the trip with an opportunity to write postcards to help educate others about the ill conceived I-73 and 25 year Transportation Tax Horry County is proposing. So please bring your address books to write friends and neighbors that live in Horry County to help protect our wetlands, farms, public conservation lands, and communities!
Sandwiches, snacks, and water will be provided! Please wear clothes appropriate for kayaking, a hat, sunscreen, and bring a waterbottle.
If we need to cancel due to weather, you will be notified via email the evening prior to the event.
