In celebration of National Pollinator Month, join us for a pollinator nature walk through Hampton Park in partnership with the Charleston Parks Conservancy and Keep Charleston Beautiful! The flowers are blooming, the insects are buzzing, and the air is warm – let’s get out and explore.
What to expect:
This will be a guided walk through Hampton Park to learn about the various pollinator plants and pollinator monitoring within the park through a couple of observation activities (you might even win a prize). Also learn about why we want to keep these around and why prioritizing native plants is good for the ecosystem. This event is family friendly – little ones are welcome! We will have a kids scavenger hunt available for participation as well.
Where to meet:
We will meet at the Rose Pavilion near the 10th and 11th Ave entrances of Hampton Park.
What to bring:
Bring binoculars to potentially catch some birds, a water, and good walking shoes.
Should we need to cancel the event due to weather, you will be notified via email prior to the event.
RSVP required.
