Wabi Sabi Farm Tour in partnership with GrowFood Carolina

RSVP

Join us as we take a family-friendly tour of the Wabi Sabi Farm in Cordesville, South Carolina! Wabi Sabi is a family run farm and event space primarily focused on growing vegetables, fruit and u-pick strawberries using sustainable agricultural practices to ensure the land continues to thrive while also producing some of the best local produce in South Carolina.

What to expect:
We will learn from Jimmy and Jo about the history of Wabi Sabi Farm, its relationship with the surrounding rural community, their variety of crops and growing methods, how they work with the land and their relationship with GrowFood Carolina. Also come to learn about the history of GrowFood Carolina and why working with farms like Wabi Sabi are so important in maintaining the rural character of our region and increasing access to local foods around South Carolina.

Come prepared to be outside and walk around the property learning about the two fields, the growing methods, and the variety of crops (likely some strawberries, flowers and vegetables). Stay after the tour to participate in their u-pick strawberries, shop their produce market, and BYO picnic under the sheltered picnic tables. We have to say, nothing beats a freshly picked, local South Carolina strawberry!

Registration is required, so sign up before the spaces fill up!

Johnna Livingston, who grew up on a Tobacco farm, and Jimmy Livingston, who grew up on a clam farm, are not shy from getting their hands dirty in the land. After running a business for 17 years, they realized what they wanted out of life was to connect back to their roots. Thus, Wabi Sabi Farm was born and has been thriving for over a decade. As a GrowFood Carolina farm partner, they provide a variety of radishes, turnips, and kale every year.

Jimmy and Jo are some of the nicest people you will meet, and we can’t wait to spend the day at these South Carolina native’s property with you!
