Happy National Recycling Month! We kicked off the month celebrating with partners—and some of you!—at our Kick-Off event at Freehouse Brewery yesterday, but we’ll be continuing the festivities all month long.
Throughout November, you can celebrate Charleston sustainability and recycling initiatives by participating in our Race to Recycle Challenge! Participate over the next few weeks for a chance to win sustainably-themed prizes.
How to participate: Snap a photo of you completing any of the tasks below. Reply directly to this email with your shots or enter by posting on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook (regular post or story!) and tagging @ConservationLeague by Thursday, November 30!
- Send us some pics of you at our National Recycling Month Kick-Off event at Freehouse Brewery last night.
- Recycle an approved blue bin item in your Charleston County Recycling Bin.
- Compost your waste at home or by taking it to a City of Charleston approved composting site.
- Eat at a restaurant that participates in oyster shell recycling or take your shells from your at-home oyster roast to an SCDNR approved drop-off site.
Each photo is one entry for your chance to win a GrowFood Carolina prize package or a Charcuterie board and facility tour from Fisher Recycling. Winners will be announced on Monday, December 4.
