National Recycling Month Kick-Off

November is National Recycling Month!

In celebration and support of the incredible recycling efforts taking place in the Lowcountry, the Coastal Conservation League is hosting an educational event in collaboration with other local partners working on encouraging community members to recycle.

We are gathering at Freehouse Brewery to kick-off the month in style with games, educational materials, and our Race to Recycling challenge launch to encourage Charlestonians to divert their plastics, glass, oyster shells, and food waste away from the landfill.

Join us and our community partners for casual fun and a pint, as you ask us questions about how and where to recycle and learn cool facts about recycling efforts in Charleston County. Participating partners include:

  • Charleston Climate Coalition
  • Charleston County Office of Sustainability/Environmental Management
  • Charleston Surfrider Chapter
  • City of Charleston Office of Sustainability
  • Fisher Recycling
  • SCDNR Education and Outreach
  • Smart Recycling

We can’t wait to see you there!
